Xbox has announced new monthly limits for cloud gaming access through its Game Pass subscription, citing rising costs as the reason for the change. Premium subscribers will receive 10 hours of cloud gaming, while those on the Essential tier will have access to just five hours per month before incurring additional charges.
The company noted that only a small percentage of Game Pass users engage with the cloud gaming feature, which may affect around 1.2 million subscribers. Xbox's CEO emphasized the need for innovation in affordability and efficiency amid rising computing costs, which have led to significant job cuts within the company.
