Wales is set to face Japan in Cardiff as part of the inaugural Nations Championship, marking a critical month for Welsh rugby. With a mixed record in the tournament so far, head coach Steve Tandy emphasizes the importance of performance to regain fan support and improve team standings ahead of the World Cup next year.
The match against Japan is particularly significant as Wales seeks to build on recent victories and address attendance issues at the Principality Stadium. The Welsh Rugby Union's financial reliance on match attendance adds urgency to the team's need for success on the field.
