A Kyiv startup, CODE380, has introduced a compact receiver called the D·Vision SDR, enabling Ukrainian forces to intercept live video feeds from Russian drones. This device allows troops to monitor drone movements and potential targeting before attacks occur. However, concerns arise as Russian drones evolve, utilizing digital video and AI technology that could render such receivers ineffective.
Experts, including radio specialist Serhii Beskrestnov, caution that reliance on current detection methods may be risky, especially as newer drones operate on frequencies that are not easily detected. The shift to digital video and AI-guided drones poses a significant challenge for Ukrainian defense strategies.
