The UK government has announced the deployment of RAF Typhoon jets to Saudi Arabia to bolster defenses against increasing Houthi missile and drone attacks. This move aims to protect Saudi cities and critical infrastructure from the Iran-backed group's aerial assaults, as reported by the defense secretary.
In addition to the jets, the UK will also send military advisers and an RAF A400M transport aircraft. The Houthis are currently engaged in a civil conflict with Yemen's government, which is supported by Saudi Arabia.
Watch for potential shifts in regional alliances as the UK strengthens its military presence in Saudi Arabia. The effectiveness of the Typhoon jets in countering Houthi threats could influence future defense strategies and international responses to the ongoing conflict in Yemen.
