Thomas Tuchel emphasized the growing competition for Declan Rice's position in England's midfield following Alex Scott's impressive performance in a 7-0 victory against Croatia. Scott's first international start showcased his skills alongside Elliot Anderson, particularly in light of Rice's absence due to load management after dealing with hamstring issues during the World Cup.
Tuchel noted the importance of having multiple strong midfielders, as the team looks to build on their recent successes. England remains in a favorable position in their Nations League group, with upcoming matches that could further test the squad's depth and cohesion.
