Donald Trump suggested at a rally that Iran could target Los Angeles and San Diego, remarks that California officials labeled as reckless. Governor Gavin Newsom condemned the comments, emphasizing the potential danger to millions of residents in those cities. Meanwhile, Trump's approval rating has dropped to a record low of 32%, particularly among independent voters and Latinos, ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.
Watch for potential fallout from Trump's comments as California leaders may push for stronger security measures in urban areas. With his approval ratings plummeting, the midterm elections could see shifts in voter sentiment, especially among independents and Latinos.
