Stoke Space Technologies has successfully closed the initial phase of a $1 billion Series E funding round aimed at advancing its rocket technology. The funds will support the development of a fully reusable rocket system, including the Nova Pathfinder, which is expected to launch in early 2027. This initiative focuses on creating a rocket that can return both its booster and payload stages to Earth for reuse, a feat not yet achieved in the industry.
The company is also working on a larger rocket, the Nova Block 2, capable of carrying 15 metric tons to low-Earth orbit. Stoke's approach includes innovative cooling solutions for its rocket's thermal shielding, setting it apart from competitors like SpaceX. As the demand for launch services grows, Stoke aims to position itself as a key player in the evolving space economy.
