A one-off performance titled 'The Pelicot Trial' will feature notable actors including Rosie O'Donnell, Julie Hesmondhalgh, and Adjoa Andoh. The play, based on the trial of Dominique Pelicot, highlights the harrowing case of Gisele Pelicot, who became a symbol against sexual violence. Scheduled for November 30 at London's County Hall, the production aims to shed light on the impact of the trial through documentary theatre techniques.
The performance will include testimonies and accounts from the trial, developed in collaboration with journalists and feminist organizations. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, with additional casting announcements expected in the coming weeks.
As the performance date approaches, keep an eye on ticket availability and any additional casting announcements. This production not only aims to raise awareness about sexual violence but also encourages discussions on societal change and support for survivors.
