The Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) has opened the bidding process for UK broadcasting rights to Scottish Premiership matches starting in the 2029-30 season. The current deal with Sky Sports is set to expire at the end of the 2028-29 season, and the SPFL anticipates significant interest from broadcasters.
As the SPFL opens bidding for new TV rights, keep an eye on how this could reshape broadcasting dynamics in Scottish football. The outcome may influence club revenues and fan engagement strategies, especially with the potential for new broadcasters entering the mix.
