Scotland's airports experienced a significant increase in passenger traffic this spring, with nearly 300,000 more travelers compared to last year, marking a 4% rise. Budget airlines, particularly Ryanair, contributed to this growth, with Edinburgh Airport alone seeing an additional 200,000 passengers, while Prestwick Airport reported a threefold increase in cargo volumes.
Despite the overall positive trend, Aberdeen Airport noted a slight decline in passenger numbers. The Civil Aviation Authority highlighted that demand for air travel remains robust, as travelers adapt their plans in response to global events.
