Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has sought US military support as Houthi attacks escalate, but recent appeals to former President Trump have gone unanswered. Despite significant investments in US defense and a close relationship with Trump, the kingdom is learning that reliance on US protection may not be guaranteed.
The situation highlights a shift in US foreign policy, with Trump hesitant to engage militarily in the region. This reluctance could have implications for Saudi Arabia's security strategy and its investments in the US, as the ongoing conflict with the Houthis continues to threaten the kingdom's stability and oil exports.
