Cristiano Ronaldo's potential return to the Portugal national team is still on the table, according to coach Jorge Jesus. Ronaldo, who left the Nations League camp after being an unused substitute in recent matches, has expressed intentions to clarify his reasons for departure in the future. He holds the record for the most goals scored for Portugal, with 146 in 234 appearances.
Jesus indicated that discussions regarding Ronaldo's future with the team could occur before the next call-up. Portugal is currently performing well in the Nations League, having secured a spot in the last eight after a victory against Norway.
