Robert Jenrick, a Reform UK MP, defended Nigel Farage against accusations of racism following an undercover investigation by ITV. Jenrick claimed that Farage has significantly contributed to combating racism and the far right in British politics. This defense comes after Farage faced criticism for allegedly protecting a mayoral candidate accused of making racist comments about David Lammy.
The ITV footage also revealed troubling remarks from other party members, raising concerns about the party's vetting processes. Jenrick asserted that all political parties encounter problematic individuals and emphasized that Reform is committed to improving its vetting procedures.
