Readwise has introduced a new app designed to combine features of Kindle and Goodreads, allowing users to buy, read, and track books in one place. The app offers detailed reading statistics, including metrics on reading pace and immersion, aiming to enhance the reading experience beyond basic tracking.
The launch occurs amid a surge of new reading apps aiming to challenge Goodreads. While Readwise does not offer its own e-readers, it focuses on building a community around reading and provides tools for tracking both purchased and uploaded eBooks, including features for physical books and DRM-free EPUBs.
