Following Manchester United's recent 3-0 loss to Bournemouth, director of football Jason Wilcox faced significant criticism from fans, who chanted against him during the match. This discontent comes as the team struggles under manager Michael Carrick, who is under scrutiny after an eight-game winless streak, the worst since the 2015-16 season.
Wilcox, who joined United in April 2024 after a stint at Manchester City, has been criticized for the club's transfer strategy and lack of squad depth. Despite some support for his position, the growing dissatisfaction among fans raises questions about his future and the club's direction amid ongoing performance issues.
Fans are calling for change at Manchester United, putting Wilcox's role in jeopardy. Watch for potential shifts in management or strategy as the club navigates this turmoil. The upcoming transfer window could be pivotal for addressing squad weaknesses and fan concerns.
