Phil Foden delivered an impressive performance in Manchester City's 5-1 win over AEK Athens, scoring a hat-trick and providing an assist. This match marked a significant turnaround for Foden, who had struggled earlier in the season but showed his potential as a key player for the team.
Foden's ability to step up in the absence of Erling Haaland suggests he could be a viable alternative in the striker role. His recent form may bolster his confidence and solidify his position within the squad as City aims for continued success in the Champions League.
Foden's hat-trick not only boosts his confidence but also raises questions about his role moving forward. With Haaland's fitness uncertain, keep an eye on how Maresca utilizes Foden in upcoming matches. His performance could redefine City's attacking strategy in crucial fixtures.
