Phil Foden is seeking a return to the England national team after being omitted from recent squads by manager Thomas Tuchel. Although the upcoming England matches may be too soon for a recall, Foden is determined to impress and regain his spot. He has not had communication with Tuchel since the World Cup, indicating a need for clarity on his role.
Foden has been performing well at Manchester City, contributing significantly to the team's goals this season. However, the club's manager, Enzo Maresca, emphasized the importance of other players stepping up to support star striker Erling Haaland, especially after a recent match where the team failed to score.
Foden's push for an England recall hinges on consistent performances at City, especially with Maresca's call for collective scoring. Watch for his impact against RB Leipzig; a strong showing could reignite Tuchel's interest and reshape his national team prospects.
