Pattaya, Thailand, is enhancing security measures ahead of the arrival of sailors and marines from the USS Abraham Lincoln, who have been deployed at sea for over 270 days. Approximately 600 officials will assist with security as the carrier docks at Laem Chabang port, with plans for staggered transportation of the service members to the city.
The USS Abraham Lincoln's deployment was extended due to the ongoing US military operations in the Middle East. Local businesses are optimistic about the influx of visitors, while officials have cautioned against overcharging the sailors and restricted certain recreational activities during their stay.
