The review is costing the company over $500,000 each day as it utilizes AI to analyze data that would take a human 66 million years to process. More organizations may soon be notified of potential breaches as the investigation continues.
The company has already informed over 100 organizations of being targeted, although this does not confirm that private information was accessed. In response to the Medicare breach, the Australian government is requiring agencies to assess their legacy technology to mitigate cybersecurity risks associated with AI attacks.
