The NFL launched its London series this season, featuring a game between the Washington Commanders and Indianapolis Colts. Despite a strong UK fanbase of 18.6 million, ticket sales for the game were sluggish, prompting price reductions that left many seats unsold. The Colts won the match 30-13, but the attendance was notably lower than expected.
Fans expressed frustration over rising ticket prices and the elimination of season-ticket packages, which they believe have alienated long-time supporters. While some games sold out quickly, the overall sentiment reflects concerns about the NFL's approach to its UK market.
As the NFL navigates ticket pricing and fan engagement in the UK, keep an eye on the upcoming Eagles vs. Jaguars game. The contrasting attendance and fan sentiment may influence future strategies, especially regarding season tickets and match quality.
