Leanne Gregory, a 36-year-old from Nottinghamshire, tragically lost her life while attempting to save her two sons from a riptide in the Bahamas. The family was celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary when the incident occurred, with both boys being rescued but their mother unable to be saved. Nathan Gregory, her husband, described her as a hero and the foundation of their family.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force confirmed that Leanne was found unresponsive after being swept away and later pronounced dead at a local clinic. An autopsy is pending, but foul play is not suspected.
