Bothwell entered the game with impressive stats, ranking second in the SEC with 402 rushing yards and three touchdowns this season. With his absence, Kolin Wilson and Xavier Gayten are expected to take on more responsibilities in the backfield.
Bothwell's injury could significantly impact Mississippi State's offensive strategy, especially as they rely on his rushing ability. The team's depth at running back will be tested, and how they adapt in his absence may influence their performance in upcoming games.
