Microsoft has introduced a new feature called Disc to Digital, allowing Xbox Series X and Xbox One users to convert their physical game discs into digital licenses. This feature is now available to all users after a month of beta testing, enabling players to access their games digitally without needing a Game Pass subscription.
Watch for updates on supported titles as Microsoft negotiates with publishers. The Disc to Digital feature could evolve, potentially expanding backward compatibility. Keep your physical discs and consoles, as clarity on license renewal remains uncertain.
