The sale surpasses the previous record for basketball items, which was held by a card featuring Jordan and Kobe Bryant. The jersey was purchased by Miami real estate investor Ron Firman through a private sale.
This record-breaking sale highlights the growing market for sports memorabilia, particularly items linked to iconic athletes. Collectors should monitor upcoming auctions and private sales for potential investments, as demand for unique pieces continues to rise.
