Meta has launched Waddle World, described as a 'tamagotchi-style' pet app where users interact with virtual creatures that engage in conversation and create doodles. Marketed as a daily journal rather than a traditional game, it encourages users to talk with their pets and participate in simple activities without the pressure of scores or streaks.
In addition to Waddle World, Meta has also introduced an AI fashion app called Style Sketch, currently available only in select Southeast Asian countries. The future availability of these apps in other regions remains uncertain as Meta has not provided further details.
Waddle World offers a refreshing take on digital companionship, focusing on interaction over competition. Users should monitor updates from Meta regarding potential expansions to other regions, as the app's unique approach could influence future AI pet applications.
