Lululemon has participated in a $30 million Series A funding round for Syntetica, a French startup focused on innovative nylon recycling. Syntetica aims to tackle the challenges of recycling Nylon 6 and Nylon 6,6, which are difficult to separate in textile waste. The company has already secured partnerships with notable brands, including Victoria’s Secret and Etam.
Syntetica's approach emphasizes cost competitiveness and scalability, with plans to produce pellets for yarn manufacturing. The startup is also backed by public investment from France’s Bpifrance and the European Innovation Council, aligning with broader goals to enhance Europe’s industrial capabilities and reduce fossil fuel dependency.
