Luke Humphries secured a significant victory at the World Grand Prix, defeating Gerwyn Price 6-4 to capture his first major PDC trophy in over a year. This win marks his second World Grand Prix title and reinforces his position as the world number two, following a challenging period since his last major success in May 2025.
Humphries showcased resilience by overcoming an early 3-0 deficit against Price, ultimately winning four consecutive sets. The victory not only adds £150,000 to his earnings but also highlights his return to form in a competitive darts landscape.
Humphries' victory signals a potential resurgence in his career. Fans should watch for his upcoming performances as he aims to reclaim the top spot in the rankings. Additionally, Price's ongoing struggles in finals may prompt changes in his strategy moving forward.
