Xavier Young, a highly regarded five-star center, has committed to LSU and plans to reclassify into the 2027 recruiting class. At just 16 years old, he will need to spend a minimum of two years in college before he can enter the NBA draft. Young's commitment solidifies LSU's position as the top recruiting class in the nation, joining other notable recruits including guards Reese Alston and King Gibson.
Young, who recently contributed to the USA U17 National Team's gold medal win, is recognized for his strong low-post presence and rebounding skills. His decision to join LSU reflects confidence in Coach Will Wade's development plan, as he aims to enhance his game and prepare for a future in professional basketball.
