Following Manchester United's recent loss to Atletico Madrid, defender Lisandro Martinez publicly criticized the club's leadership, specifically targeting the director of football, Jason Wilcox. Martinez expressed disappointment with the squad's quality compared to top teams and emphasized the need for greater ambition and honesty within the club's structure.
This outburst comes amid ongoing scrutiny of Wilcox's role, particularly after a previous incident involving former manager Ruben Amorim. Despite the criticism, sources indicate that Wilcox's position is secure, while the club's recruitment strategy is under review as they prepare for the January transfer window.
