Jersey pensioners will see an annual increase of £734, raising the total pension amount to £16,294. This 4.7% rise reflects adjustments based on the pensioner retail price index, effective from October.
The Government of Jersey also offers additional support for low-income pensioners, including cold weather payments and free TV licenses. Social Security Minister Elaine Millar emphasized the importance of ensuring a stable foundation for retirees while encouraging those eligible for extra assistance to seek help.
