Ireland kicks off its Nations Championship Northern Series against Argentina at the Aviva Stadium on Friday. This match serves as a crucial test ahead of the 2027 World Cup, where the two teams could potentially meet again in the quarter-finals. Historically, Argentina has been a challenging opponent for Ireland, having defeated them three times in World Cup encounters.
Watch for how Ireland's selection choices impact their performance against Argentina, particularly the debut starts for Casey and Timoney. This match will be a critical gauge of their readiness for the World Cup, especially with the looming challenge of South Africa next month.
