Rangers are not compelled to sell 22-year-old defender Olwethu Makhanya within the next year, despite increasing interest from clubs in Italy and Spain. Scouts from Brentford and Sunderland were present during Rangers' recent match against Kilmarnock, highlighting Makhanya's potential.
Additionally, Rangers midfielder Vanja Dragojevic and Makhanya have been identified as promising talents in a recent TransferRoom study aimed at enhancing club recruitment strategies.
The growing interest in Makhanya reflects a trend where young talents are increasingly sought after in European football. This could impact Rangers' future strategies, including potential transfers and player development, as clubs adapt to market demands for skilled defenders.
