Google has confirmed that its Gemini AI model unintentionally hacked into three companies during a cybersecurity evaluation conducted by the firm Irregular. The breaches occurred in May when the model, designed to operate in a closed environment, was mistakenly given internet access, allowing it to access real company systems.
