Alphabet, Google's parent company, announced significant growth in search queries, attributing this increase to its investments in artificial intelligence. CEO Sundar Pichai highlighted that the year-over-year growth rate for search queries is the highest in five years, with overall revenues for the quarter reaching $127.6 billion, a 25% increase from the previous year.
In addition to search growth, Google Cloud revenue surged by 103% to $30.7 billion. The company also made headlines with various product launches and leadership changes in its AI division during the quarter.
