German authorities have initiated their first raids under a new law aimed at combating migrant smuggling via small boats across the English Channel. During operations in North Rhine-Westphalia, over 9,000 life jackets, multiple dinghies, and engines were confiscated, with the potential to transport more than 2,000 migrants illegally.
