Hillsborough Castle has confirmed that the portrait of former US Senator George Mitchell will stay on display, as it is part of the site's narrative regarding the Northern Ireland peace process. Mitchell was instrumental in the 1998 Good Friday Agreement, which ended years of conflict in the region.
