FIFA has announced that teams participating in the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil will receive preparation funds equivalent to those allocated for the 2026 Men's World Cup. Each of the 32 teams will now receive $2.5 million, raising the total preparation budget from $31 million to $80 million. Players will also benefit from improved travel arrangements, including guaranteed business class flights and individual hotel accommodations.

This decision aims to align the provisions for women's teams with those of men's tournaments, addressing previous criticisms regarding disparities in treatment. Additionally, FIFA has confirmed the United States as the host for the inaugural Women’s Club World Cup in January 2028, with several teams already qualified for the event.
