Everton's younger players are increasingly taking on significant roles this season, particularly highlighted during their recent EFL Cup match against Newcastle. With Jack Grealish absent due to disciplinary reasons, new signing Hayden Hackney excelled, contributing to the team's success with a goal and an assist, showcasing the potential of the club's youth.
The average age of Everton's starting lineup has decreased, with a notable increase in minutes played by players aged 24 and under. This trend reflects a strategic shift by manager David Moyes towards integrating younger talent, which may be crucial for the team's performance in the current season.
Watch for how Everton's young talents continue to adapt under pressure, especially in upcoming league matches. Their performance could redefine the team's strategy and depth, potentially leading to a more sustainable future as they aim for a trophy this season.
