Supermarkets in Sweden, Belgium, and Luxembourg reported rising temperatures in their refrigeration units, raising concerns of a cyber-attack similar to one that affected French stores last month. Sweden's Coop chain confirmed that six of its locations were impacted, while ICA acknowledged a limited number of affected stores.
The Dutch retailer Ahold Delhaize also indicated that its supermarkets in Belgium and Luxembourg experienced an IT incident affecting their cooling systems. The previous attack in France resulted in significant food losses, highlighting vulnerabilities in internet-connected refrigeration systems.
