Duncan Ferguson has been appointed as the new manager of Glentoran, an Irish Premiership club, on a multi-year contract. The former Everton and Rangers striker aims to revitalize the team, which has not won a league title since 2009, and emphasizes the importance of winning trophies to earn the support of fans.
Ferguson, who has experience as an assistant manager at Everton and has previously managed Forest Green Rovers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, is set to make his debut against Ballymena United. His appointment follows the departure of Declan Devine, and he is joined by former teammate Gary Bollan as assistant manager.
Ferguson's appointment marks a pivotal moment for Glentoran as they seek to reclaim their former glory. Fans should monitor the team's performance in upcoming matches, particularly against Ballymena United, to gauge the immediate impact of his leadership and strategies.
