The average waiting time for practical driving tests in the UK has decreased to 19.7 weeks, the lowest since November 2024. Despite this improvement, many learner drivers still face significant delays, with some areas reporting waits of up to 21 weeks. The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) continues to address a backlog that began during the Covid pandemic.
