Penicuik Athletic is optimistic that their Scottish Cup match against Clyde will proceed as planned, thanks to local volunteers who are clearing storm debris from Montgomery Park. Approximately 30 community members began the cleanup on Monday evening after the game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and damage from Storm Boelo.
Club president Andy Penman noted that while debris covers a significant portion of the field, the underlying pitch remains in good condition. With a strong turnout expected for the match, Penicuik aims to build on their previous cup success and engage their supporters.
