Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has been placed in the NFL's concussion protocol after reporting symptoms to the team's medical staff. This development raises uncertainty regarding his participation in the upcoming game against the New Orleans Saints.
Watson sustained a helmet-to-helmet hit during last week's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers but was initially cleared to play. If he is unable to return in time, backup quarterback Shedeur Sanders may make his first start of the season.
