Steve Borthwick has secured the full backing of the Rugby Football Union to lead England into the upcoming World Cup, regardless of the team's performance in the Nations Championship this autumn. His contract was extended last September, aiming to eliminate distractions as the team prepares for the tournament, despite recent challenges including five losses in seven matches.
Fin Smith's return to training offers a potential boost for the squad, as he is expected to play a key role. His fitness will be closely monitored ahead of the upcoming match against Australia, which could be pivotal for team morale and performance.
Watch for Fin Smith's fitness updates as his return could significantly impact England's strategy against Australia. Borthwick's leadership will be tested; how the team responds to pressure will be crucial for their World Cup preparations and future selections.
