Birmingham and Wales have been designated as the next sites for local investigations in a national inquiry into child sexual abuse by grooming gangs. This inquiry, led by Baroness Anne Longfield, aims to assess the extent of abuse and the effectiveness of protective measures in these regions.
The inquiry has already initiated investigations in other areas, including Oldham, Bradford, and London. It seeks to understand the failures in safeguarding children and the responses from organizations tasked with their protection, with a significant budget of £65 million allocated for its operations.
