Bayern Munich triumphed over Mainz 2-1 in the Bundesliga, maintaining their lead in the league. Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who became the club's oldest player at 40 years, left the match early due to a recurring foot injury after a near mistake that could have allowed Mainz to equalize. Harry Kane contributed with two assists, helping Bayern extend their unbeaten away streak to 31 games.
Despite Neuer's struggles, Bayern remains at the top of the Bundesliga, tied on points with Borussia Dortmund but ahead on goal difference. Dortmund also secured a win against Elversberg, keeping the title race competitive as other leagues see key matches this weekend, including Real Madrid and PSG aiming for top positions in their respective leagues.
With Neuer's injury raising concerns, Bayern must evaluate their goalkeeper depth ahead of crucial matches. Fans should monitor how the team adapts and whether they can maintain their lead against a resurgent Dortmund. Kane's playmaking remains key as the title race heats up.
