Kemi Badenoch, the leader of the Conservative Party, is set to emphasize a 'battle of ideas' in British politics during her speech at the party's annual conference. She aims to redefine public perception of the Conservatives, who have struggled in polls since the last election, by contrasting their vision with that of the Labour government. Badenoch will outline key policies, including a £10 billion air defense initiative and proposed cuts to National Insurance contributions for younger workers.
In her address, Badenoch will argue that the Conservatives represent a renewed commitment to individual economic rights, positioning the upcoming general election as a critical moment for the nation's future. She will challenge Labour's approach to economic growth and taxation, asserting that their policies would lead to higher taxes and economic decline, while advocating for a return to core Conservative principles that prioritize personal earnings over government control.
