Andreessen Horowitz is establishing the Horowitz Andreessen Academy, aimed at providing a pathway for young individuals to engage with Silicon Valley startups. The academy will partner with ten tech companies, including Google and Meta, and will offer a one-year program without traditional degrees or homework, focusing instead on hands-on experience and mentorship from industry leaders.
Set to launch in the fall of 2027, the program will accept 50 students, primarily recent high school graduates, and will be free for its inaugural year. Participants will receive significant resources, including compute credits and a budget for travel and research, while living in San Francisco during the program.
