The Met Office has issued extended amber heat health alerts across most of Wales, with temperatures potentially reaching 38C (100F) this week. The warnings cover a four-day period, with the first alert affecting southern and mid Wales, followed by a broader warning for the rest of the country, excluding Pembrokeshire.
As temperatures are expected to remain high, the RSPCA Cymru has advised pet owners to take precautions to protect their animals from the heat, including ensuring access to water and avoiding hot surfaces during walks.
