Wrexham forward Sam Smith is set for a significant absence due to a knee injury sustained during a recent match against Sheffield United. Manager Phil Parkinson indicated that Smith will consult a specialist to determine the severity and potential need for surgery.
The injury compounds challenges for Wrexham as they prepare to face Championship leaders Middlesbrough, with other forwards also sidelined. This situation opens the door for younger players like Bailey Cadamarteri to gain valuable playing time.
